As part of World No Tobacco Day on May 31st, our hospital's Chest Diseases Clinic organized an information event to raise awareness about the harms of tobacco and tobacco products, to encourage individuals to quit smoking, and to promote healthy lifestyle habits.
During the event, an information stand was set up at the entrance of our outpatient clinic, providing citizens with information about the negative effects of tobacco use on health. The Head of the Chest Diseases Clinic, Prof. Dr. Berna Akıncı Özyürek, along with physicians and nurses from the Smoking Cessation Clinic, provided visitors with information about smoking cessation methods and support services.
Furthermore, carbon monoxide levels of staff and citizens were measured and evaluated throughout the event, and individuals wishing to quit smoking were referred to the Smoking Cessation Clinic.
Our Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Ömer Yıldız, our Deputy Chief Physician Dr. Hasan Arslanoğlu, Health Care Services Manager Arzu Yalçın, and other hospital administrators and officials participated in the event held as part of World No Tobacco Day.
