What is Acupuncture?
It is an application performed by stimulating special points on the body with needles, laser beams, electrical stimulation (electroacupuncture), etc. stimulation methods.
Acupuncture is a word formed from the words “acus” and “punctura”. It means to prick the point with a needle. It is the best known of alternative and complementary treatment methods. Acupuncture dates back more than 3000 years and is practiced in every country in the world. In China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea it is often used as a first treatment, and it started to gain popularity in the western world and the USA in the late 1970s.
